Teaching is Very Difficult

As we continue to lead our workshop series, "Every Teacher is a Hero, Every Hero has a Story," across Indonesia, teachers have shared one basic idea: “Teaching is very difficult.” Whether it is the working conditions or the lack of support from colleagues, teachers who strive for greatness often feel many forces working against them. This is exactly why we emphasize that teachers are heroes. We started Mangrove Education to create a safe space and community for teachers to support each other and to remind each other that they are heroes. Unlike typical information-heavy workshops, our workshops are an experience, and we are proud that participants leave with a sense of community.
